Job Description

As a Helpdesk Technician Trainee, you will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of our IT support department. Under the guidance of experienced IT professionals, you will gain practical experience in providing first-line technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting common IT issues, and supporting the maintenance of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Log, track, and manage support tickets using our helpdesk software, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting for common IT problems, including password resets, printer malfunctions, email configuration, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Participate in the deployment of new software and hardware, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior technicians or IT managers with detailed documentation.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and documentation.
  • Learn and adhere to company IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and equipment setup/decommissioning.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and continuous learning to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software (e.g., Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite).
