Key job responsibilities
As the leader of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Public Sector, this role holds full responsibility for all aspects of the government, education, health and non-profit business and will take the lead to shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within the Public Sector market segments. This position, being the AWS single threaded leader for Public Sector in the UAE, leads all groups in the region with single point accountability for delivering business outcomes for our customers and the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience in written and spoken English and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses
  • · Minimum 10+ years of experience relationship building and influencing at the C and minister level.
  • · Experience leading a regional, cross-functional, virtual team including solution architecture, inside sales, business development specialized sales, marketing, professional services leading to holistic customer engagement.
  • · Minimum 15 years of technology and/or sales experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, or MBA in finance, accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of procurement experience
  • Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies
  • Experience managing large teams across multiple locations and languages
  • Experience hiring and developing strong talent and building a team
  • Experience selling nascent products and services Ability to drive solutions to difficult problems
