We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of People to join our leadership team and build the foundation for our growing company. Position Overview: As the Head of People at Trace Machina, you will play a critical role in shaping our company’s culture, growth, and success. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure that we are attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. Key Responsibilities: • Talent Acquisition: Lead the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract and hire top-tier talent across all functions. Work closely with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process. • Employee Experience & Retention: Foster a positive, inclusive, and transparent work culture where employees feel valued, motivated, and engaged. Develop strategies for employee retention and career development. • People Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance. Ensure the company’s HR practices are aligned with its goals and values. • Leadership Development: Partner with the executive team to identify leadership development needs, create programs for leadership growth, and establish a performance feedback system that aligns with Trace Machina’s culture and values. • Culture & Values: Champion Trace Machina’s culture by embedding company values into every aspect of the employee experience. Lead efforts to build and maintain a positive, high-performance, and transparent work environment. • HR Strategy: Advise leadership on people-related issues, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to improve workforce planning, organizational design, and employee engagement. • Scalability: Build and implement scalable HR systems and processes that can support Trace Machina’s growth as we expand our team and operations. Qualifications: • Proven experience in a people leadership role (preferably as Head of People, HR Director, or similar) in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally in a startup or tech company. • Strong understanding of HR best practices, people operations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels. • A deep commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. • Experience with scaling HR processes and building teams from the ground up. • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence leadership decisions. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • A track record of creating and driving employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs.
