Our client, a mission-driven, leading health and wellness platform that is revolutionizing telehealth for providers and patients alike, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist the Company in its search for a Head Counsel, Intellectual Property. Reporting to the SVP, Associate General Counsel, this attorney will be the go-to legal team member for all things IP at the Company. They will lead strategic initiatives relating to global trademark portfolio management, enforcement, and brand protection, and will coordinate with engineering leadership and outside patent counsel to identify patentable inventions and submit patents as appropriate. They will work with legal leadership to build and lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals who are responsible for handling complex legal matters relating to intellectual property. They will act as a key advisor to executives and other senior leaders, providing strategic legal advice, managing risk, and developing legal strategies to support the growth of the company and protect the company's brand and technology. Strong candidates will have 12+ years of experience practicing at a law firm and/or in-house, with deep knowledge of and experience with global trademark and brand enforcement issues and strategies, and working knowledge of patent law to issue spot and coordinate with business teams and outside counsel and experts. They also will have management experience with a strong track record of building, leading, and mentoring teams, and will be superb, trusted business partners. Experience with consumer goods, health tech, and digital product ecosystems is desirable. This is an incredible opportunity to build out and lead the IP legal function at a leading health and wellness platform that has a mission-driven, respectful, and no-ego culture. Compensation is targeted at an annual base salary range of $300,000 to $320,000, an equity grant, and generous benefits.
