Job Description SummarySenior level professional requiring subject matter knowledge and experience, independence in problem solving and decision making. Responsible for developing innovative solutions to deliver Customer outcomes and drive profitable growth while managing company risk/reward. Interprets internal targets and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services. Takes initiative to preserve and improve Company Profitability and Working Capital. Stays informed of market practices, industry trends, statutory constraints and economic factors that may influence negotiation and execution. Reports to Business Line CFO and is aligned with BL priorities, supporting BL Commercial Leader along with CommOps, Sales Ops and other supporting functions to meet BL short and long-term goals and strategy.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesCovering the full range of activities within the Commercial Finance scope, which includes responsibility for commercial finance operating rhythms, also during closing periods, by providing centralized finance reporting capabilities for Orders, margins, down payment, convertibility and other commercial metrics.Supports commercial forecasting and contributes to the overall Business Line growth through the extensive analysis of opportunity risks, terms and conditions.Leads commercial financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis, supporting both Business Line Commercial and Finance teams, observing and ensuring compliance to finance instructions, policies and deadlines for orders recognition and reporting.Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area and with external customers, including control of resources, influencing policy formulation and training communities for their best understanding on instructions.May lead functional teams or projects. Communicates financial instructions, translates difficult concepts, facilitates interactions between different stakeholders outside Finance and is expected influence others' options on particular topics. Will frequently guide others to consider a different point of view.Increases the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives, working among cross-functional policy and goals. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.Drives commercial strategy by partnering with Region Commercial Leader and Commercial Operations, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance and OTR.Leads Deal Structuring and validation for complex deals (including consortium, project financing, frame agreements etc.). Coordinates with Tax, Treasury, Transfer Pricing, OTR Finance, Controllership and other functions to obtain instructions and necessary validation before bid submission, including but not limited to: terms and conditions, margins, provisions, customer requirements, guarantees and payment securities, cost estimates, manufacturing inputs and cash flow.Makes effective credit rating assessment of potential customers, financing agents, subcontractors and partners to mitigate financial risks and negotiates acceptable payment terms and conditions in the contract to ensure payment security and improved cash flow.Drives initiatives and partners with Commercial and Operations team to increase profitability and mitigate Past Dues. Leverages return of experience from OTR to ITO and applies learnings to new orders.Acts as owner of ITO Trade Finance Instruments with the business line, negotiating wording, format, amount and conditions of such documents. Also manages the opening and timely closure of ITO bonds and guarantees with Treasury and Customers.Required QualificationsMaster / Bachelor's degree in Accounting / FinanceSignificant experience in Finance & Commercial Finance Management. Preferably in industrial segment w/ Project Business experience (+8 years).Competency in data analysis, building excel reports and presentationsAbility & willingness to travel occasionally.Strict Compliance standards Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
