Our client is an award-winning Private Equity firm with an impressive track record of performance. With offices in London and New York (and 11 other offices globally), the company has an excellent reputation in the market and has been a growth story. Their Finance function have released a newly-created role due to growth in business / revenues and are now recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant supporting Group Finance activities.

The company offers hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 from home) along with a positive working environment and collaborative/friendly team.

Profile Criteria:

  1. Ideally a Fully-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with a min. of 5 years of accounts production experience (the more the better) from industry, but our client will also consider a bright and experienced Part-Qualified / Finalist candidate
  2. Industry experience ideally from the investment / asset management, financial services or banking sectors
  3. Strong understanding of Group consolidation principles, FX adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and IFRS
  4. Exposure to transfer pricing, Group tax, and statutory reporting
  5. Excellent communication skills and a social personality


Responsibilities and Coverage:

Group Consolidation & Reporting
    • Prepare monthly consolidated Group accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS where applicable.
    • Produce monthly financial control reports and variance analysis for senior stakeholders.


Internal Reporting Packs
    • Support the production of internal reporting packs for senior stakeholders and other ad hoc reports.


Group Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity
    • Build and maintain Group cash flow forecasts and support liquidity planning and scenario modelling.
    • Assist with hedging policy maintenance, reporting, and effectiveness calculations.


Group Bonus Pool
    • Calculate and reconcile the Group bonus pool, consolidating entity inputs and ensuring alignment with policy and remuneration governance.


Year-End Audit & Statutory Accounts
    • Prepare consolidated statutory accounts and supporting schedules.
    • Liaise with auditors for Group-level queries; ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.


Transfer Pricing & Group Tax
    • Maintain transfer pricing calculation models and documentation.
    • Assist with Group tax considerations and compliance packs.


Balance Sheet Forecasting & NAV
    • Support the Group Financial Controller with balance sheet forecasting, calculation of NAV, and other key financial metrics for management and regulatory purposes.


Regulatory Reporting
    • Provide finance data inputs and working papers for the annual ICARA process, including capital and liquidity assessments, stress testing, and wind-down analysis.


Group Policies & Process Improvement
    • Support development and maintenance of Group accounting policies and procedures.
    • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and control.


Automation & Technology
    • Assist in automating consolidation and reporting processes using Business Central and Power BI.


Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Projects
    • Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives and regulatory requirements.
