Atlantic Autism Services, Inc. provides home-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy to our clients on a 1-to-1 basis in their home, school, and community as well as other clinical settings.

Atlantic is hiring for a unique position within our Administrative Team!

This is a hybrid position requiring remote administrative work, and occasional in-person work at our Elizabeth City office location. This is a full-time position. In order to qualify for the position, the applicant must live and complete work in one of the three areas listed below:

  • Elizabeth City, NC
  • Outer Banks, NC
  • Richmond, VA

Essential Job Functions:

  • Answers and forwards incoming calls to appropriate parties, and prepares correspondence on behalf of the company
  • Replies to all email and phone inquiries within a timely fashion
  • Oversees the client waitlist, including the completion of client intake calls
  • Facilitates the new client onboarding process and assists with assessment scheduling
  • Verifies client insurance coverage for new and existing clients
  • Proactively assists in maintaining client records. Includes requesting client documentation on behalf of prospective clients, and requesting updated paperwork and records for active clients (including updated service orders, IEPs, annual paperwork, etc.)
  • Accurately enters clinical data into practice management software in a timely fashion, and maintains the health records of new and existing clients. Completes regular file reviews to meet company and industry standards
  • Prepares meeting agendas and takes accurate meeting minutes
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by completing assigned webinars and training as approved by the company
  • Completes and presents special projects such as fact-finding reports as assigned by leadership

Necessary Skills:

  • Holds a unique set of administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
  • Significant attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to analyze discrepancies in large data sets required
  • Has previous experience with medical billing preferred
  • Ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with a team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Applicant must pass a background check, OIG check, and a Health Registry check prior to employment
  • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
  • Applicant is required to have a High School diploma or the national equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution; a college degree is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
