Position Overview

The Fitness Sales Associate is responsible for driving membership and retail sales, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting retention through consistent follow-up and relationship building at the Campbell, CA location. This role is highly sales-focused and requires daily outreach, strong communication skills, and confident recommendations.

This is not a passive front desk role — it is an active sales position. This is at location position.

Key ResponsibilitiesMembership Sales & Conversion

  • Conduct studio tours and Intro appointments using a consultative sales approach
  • Recommend memberships based on client goals (PATH-based selling)
  • Close memberships during the first visit whenever possible
  • Overcome common objections (price, schedule, commitment)
  • Promote upgrades and add-ons (privates, workshops, events)
  • Answer the phone and assist members with checking in on tablet

Retail Sales

  • Actively recommend retail products that support client goals
  • Educate members on grip socks, apparel, pilates double loops, and accessories
  • Maintain strong product knowledge
  • Support merchandising and retail displays
  • Attach retail to new membership sales
  • Participate in retail promotions and studio campaigns

Lead Management

  • Make day-one contact with all new leads (within 24 hours)
  • Maintain daily outreach goals (calls, texts, emails)
  • Follow structured follow-up sequences
  • Track activity in CRM
  • Re-engage past leads and frozen members

Retention & Member Experience

  • Build relationships with members
  • Support onboarding and first-30-day success
  • Identify at-risk members and escalate to management
  • Encourage pre-booking and consistency
  • Promote upgrades and increased usage

Daily Sales Activity Expectations

  • Consistent outbound outreach (calls, texts, emails)
  • Daily follow-up on trials and Intros
  • Book Intro appointments from new leads
  • Retail recommendations in every shift
  • Support studio sales events and promotions

Sales KPIs

  • Intro show rate
  • Conversion rate
  • Membership units sold

Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred (fitness, hospitality, retail, or service)
