A rare opportunity to join our team at Bluebell Lakes Carp Fishery as a Bailiff Assistant for 25hrs a week fixed term until 31st October 2026.

No two days are the same, but our aim to be the country's favourite Carp fishery remains the same!

Bluebell Lakes Carp fishery are seeking a Carp Fishing enthusiast to support the Fishery for Bailiff work which includes supporting all areas of the fishery. The successful candidate will be able to work in our on site tackle shop and work the till, answer phones and give the customers great advice. Also be able to do essential maintenance work across the fishery. Regular ticket and rig checks, helping the fishery to uphold the rules across the complex.

We are seeking a professional and hard working individual who can quickly learn the industry and products. The ideal person will have a good understanding of carp fishing and have experience in customer service, retail and angling environments.

Responsibilities:
-Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
-Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving complaints
-Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
-Stock shelves and merchandise products

-Be able to spot check rigs and confidently give feedback on the rules to follow at Bluebell

-Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately

-Support the fishery and facilities to uphold high cleanliness standards
-To have held a Customer Service position

Requirement and Experience:
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to emphasise fishery rules and expectations in polite manner
- An understanding of the basics of fishing would be beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette for answering customer inquiries

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills both face to face and over the phone

- Ability to travel locally and nationally with a full driving liscence due to our remote location

- Ability to remain fully flexible over a 7 day period from 7am until 8pm and be available to work evenings and weekends.

-The role is a temporary role for 25 hours a week and ends 31st October 2026

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
