Overview Kimley-Horn is looking for a Finance Transformation Leader to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC)! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities The Finance Transformation Leader drives innovation and operational excellence by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration. They inspire teams to embrace new technologies, rethink legacy processes, and deliver transformative results, positioning finance as a strategic driver of business success. This role involves leading transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of finance teams, leveraging digital tools and process optimization to guide the organization through change and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities • Scope of Transformation: Lead transformation efforts across all finance teams, encompassing both operational and strategic finance processes. • Transformation Planning and Execution: Establish a multi-year transformation roadmap. Oversee project management, change management, and execution of prioritized initiatives. Develop and deliver digital training programs to upskill finance staff. • Automation Leadership: Drive the evaluation, selection and adoption of digital tools to streamline finance operations. Lead automation initiatives, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. • Operational Guidance: Serve as an internal consultant, advising finance teams on best practices, process enhancements, and operational strategies to maximize efficiency and compliance. • Process Documentation: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve documentation of current and future-state processes. Ensure transparency and consistency across all finance functions. • Opportunity and Issue Identification: Analyze workflows to uncover inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Recommend and implement solutions that drive measurable gains in productivity, accuracy, and cost savings. • ROI Evaluation: Quantify the financial and operational impact of transformation initiatives. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess return on investment and ensure accountability. Communicate transformation progress and outcomes to leadership. • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance transformation professionals. Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure effective integration with existing finance and IT personnel. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CPA, etc.) preferred. • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence roles within large organizations. • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change. • Deep knowledge of finance processes, accounting principles, and compliance requirements. • Strong expertise in digital transformation, implementation of automation and AI tools (such as UiPath, Alteryx, Power Platform, LLM APIs or similar tools), and financial systems integration. • Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities. • Experience with audit processes and internal controls.
