Overview WHO are we looking for? CAPTRUST is seeking a Finance Merger & Acquisition Associate to support all reporting and analysis requirements for the M&A Team. The associate will be heavily involved in all aspects of the deal lifecycle from pre-deal operational and synergy reviews to Day 1 planning and post-deal implementation. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a strong work ethic, well-organized, collaborative, and accountable, with a sense of urgency while performing under tight deadlines. This position will have an opportunity to impact efficiency, contribute ideas for process improvements, and help drive insights for a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities • Maintain detailed deal records and ensure accuracy in tracking opportunities as they progress through each phase of the deal process • Assist in preparing materials for deals in different phases of the process for internal and external parties • Assist with assessing acquisition target metrics including financial statements, performance and operational fit • Perform financial analysis, pricing and valuation modeling • Participate in due diligence meetings • Perform quality of earnings assessments on acquisitions revenues and expenses • Analyze post-close acquisition performance • Create and maintain reporting dashboards, analyses and presentations on passed, lost, won and post-close acquisition performance • Evaluate and summarize company, industry, market, and competitor research • Support the M&A team in pipeline and acquisition efforts aligned with our broader revenue and profitability goals • Collaborate with cross-discipline team members to support collaboration and promote a positive acquisition experience Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent combination of training and experience required • Understanding financial statement analysis and valuation modeling • 1-2 years of finance experience required Desired Qualifications/ Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel • Organization skills with a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who can prioritize and re-prioritize with little supervision • Detail-oriented, deep analytical skills, and a desire to learn • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels What can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?
