We are a physician-owned, family practice with two thriving locations in San Antonio, Texas, seeking a compassionate Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner for our walk-in clinic. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and flexible schedule in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

As a Nurse Practitioner in our practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. You will work closely with our lead physician and Quality team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate treatment for walk-in patients.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform focused and comprehensive physical exams; review medical histories; diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
  • Develop individualized care plans, prescribe medications, and order/interpret diagnostics (including point-of-care tests).
  • Educate and counsel patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs/MA’s, and ancillary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Stay current with medical advancements through continuing education and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks) aligned with CMS charting requirements; partner with billing/coding to ensure compliant, complete records.
  • Continuously develop clinical expertise aligned with patient needs and practice goals.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with active Texas licensure.
  • Prescriptive authority in Texas and DEA registration (or eligibility).
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Spanish fluency not required, but a significant plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity to operate medical instruments and electronic medical record system (eClinicalWorks).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and respond to clinical needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and effectiveness.
