They will promote a gracious welcome, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to problem solve for, and assist patients and families. They will display active engagement with patients and families to direct or escort families to their destination, assist with carrying luggage and other items. They will also assist families on departure from the hospital and support the overall operations of the Division of Family and Visitor Services.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Schedule</b></u><b>: </b>Full-time (12:30pm-9pm | Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)<br /><br /><b>What you will do</b></p><ul><li>Hospitality Engagement</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for families and visitors to CHOP including, but not limited to:</li><li>Actively greeting and engaging families upon their arrival</li><li>Maintain knowledge of hospital and surrounding area to assist families</li><li>Providing navigation assistance within the CHOP facility to ease anxiety for patients, families and visitors.</li><li>Escort families to their destinations and assist with luggage when necessary</li><li>Circulates throughout the Hospital to provide assistance and directions to patients, families, and visitors</li><li>Ensure that patient experience is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service standards that are aligned with the expectations of CHOP</li><li>Orients families and visitors to the Hospital, including anticipated needs unique to families of assigned area</li><li>Answers calls via the patient information lines</li><li>Daily Operations</li><li>Check in/badge all visitors at the Buerger Center, or Main Campus Information Desk.</li><li>Maintain a visitor restriction file in conjunction with the Security Department</li><li>Immediately notifies appropriate departments of any conditions that may cause a risk to employees, patients, families and visitors</li><li>Cross-cover as needed and perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the Division of Family and Visitor Services</li></ul><p><b>Education Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma / GED Required</li><li>Associate's Degree Preferred</li></ul><p><b>Experience Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>At least one (1) year Experience in a customer service setting involving direct customer contact Required</li><li>At least one (1) year Customer service experience in a healthcare setting Preferred</li></ul><p><b>Skills and Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Able to serve as a champion of CHOP ICARE values (Required proficiency)</li><li>Promote teamwork to achieve CHOP's mission and values (Required proficiency)</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.
