POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager manages the support functions related to the corporate office facility on all issues which include but not limited to mailroom/delivery functions, building repair and maintenance, upkeep required on all FedEx Office managed building systems, janitorial / housekeeping services, team member relocations, all related furniture and fixtures, copy room / break room supplies and equipment and department services processes and procedures. The Facilities & Building Manager also acts as the FedEx Office representative with all outside vendors, the FXO Facilities Maintenance team, and all FXO team members.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team by training, developing, and coaching team members on a consistent basis.  Team consists of building maintenance technician, facilities coordinator, and receptionist
  • Act as backup for any job functions that fall under their management
  • Manage maintenance and repair of all, but not limited to electrical, lighting, HVAC, building management systems, plumbing, labs, data centers, elevator services, cafeteria, fitness center, and copy rooms
  • Manage all Exterior Maintenance such as, but not limited to Landscape services, signage, parking lot maintenance, pest control, and general appearance through vendor service agreements
  • Manage handyman services, such as, but not limited to light replacements, patching and painting of interior and exterior walls, reconfigures and moves.
  • Manage mailroom services such as receiving/logging/sorting/retrieving/delivering all mail and ordering of supplies.  Develop/Maintain mailroom policies and procedures
  • Manage copy and break room services such as, but not limited to ordering/inventory supplies
  • Manage and set-up Interior pest control, plant services, campus recycling, and janitorial/housekeeping services including day porter activities
  • Manage workspace services such as, but not limited to coordinating team member workspace relocations, purchasing and storing all furniture for the FXO Corporate campus
  • Manage, process, and coordinate work assignments and all team member service requests with responsible parties. Facilitate the completion of such work with each requesting department
  • Vendor Management – contract, set-up, and pay vendors relating to any services need for area of responsibility and coordinate quotes from vendors for such services, while maintaining relations to ensure accurate and efficient vendor compliance with FedEx policies
  • Maintain building support cost expenses through budgeting and forecasting
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities, real estate or related field
  • 3+ years of management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general accounting
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Vendor management experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project)
  • For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
  • For current FedEx Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
