About the Position:
Alpha Energy Solutions, LLC is hiring a detail-oriented and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Carlsbad, NM. What You’ll Do:

  • Assist Journeyman electricians in accurately install, maintain, troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Perform installation of cable tray/conduit, wire pulling, cable terminations, rack integration, medium voltage terminations, instrument installation, and PLC wiring. — while following clear guidelines and safety standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and repairs by gathering data, maintaining records, and ensuring all work is performed with precision and care.
  • Carefully follow all safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Help maintain tools and equipment, keeping inventory organized and ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
  • Document work orders, materials used, and time tracking with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in regular on-the-job training to steadily build your technical knowledge and understanding of electrical codes and best practices.
  • Follow clear communication channels and work closely with the lead electricians and project managers to ensure projects stay on track.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Enrollment in or interest in joining an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles is helpful, but not required — we’ll train the right candidate
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions, at heights, or in confined spaces

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stamina to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts when needed
