Container Freight Specialist

In coordination with Dispatch Supervisors and Dispatchers, the Dispatcher Container Freight Specialist coordinates incoming Bonded shipments into the CFS.

This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and monitoring all inbound international shipments scheduled for the NHP CFS.
  • Monitoring TMS report for all international arrivals to ensure that freight is recovered in a timely manner.
  • Completing all activities in TMS pertaining to the Bonded Room.
  • Monitoring drivers to ensure all Bonded shipments are recovered from the airline.
  • Reviewing and monitoring Bonded freight daily, ensuring that cold chain is maintained within the CFS.
  • Creating Customs Blue Manipulation for replenishment in the Bonded room.
  • Entering Gather replenishment details daily into TMS.
  • Monitoring and maintaining cold chain for all shipments on FDA hold.
  • Ensure all shipments within the CFS are secured and safely stored.
  • Ensure that all SOPs and policies are followed.
  • Report all complaints and issues to management immediately.
  • Inventory Management: monitor the Virtual Import Board, coordinate with WCB to nominate shipments to be moved to the Bonded Room that will not put the room at capacity.
  • Maintain all customs-related documentation (Form 3499, etc.)
  • Ensure all shipments are moved from the CFS once cleared
  • Ensure all shipments are sent to "G-O" warehouse once threshold is met.
  • Conduct daily audits of the CFS to ensure full compliance of CFS regulations.
  • Achieve agreed personal targets and assist Manager to achieve team targets.
  • Ensure compliance to codes including health and safety.
  • Adhere to all processes as it relates to organization and workflow.
  • Adopt Designated Screening Area (DSA) rules in the Bonded Area by preventing and challenging unauthorized entry.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
  • Proficient knowledge of TMS applicable reports.
  • General knowledge of the airport and surrounding area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborator.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willing to work additional shifts and hours when required based upon business needs.
  • Ability to lift minimum 50lbs.

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
