Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate Information Security to lead our organization’s security efforts. As the Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading comprehensive security strategies to safeguard our personnel, assets, and information. You will provide strategic direction, oversee security operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of implementing effective security measures in a corporate environment. Day to Day: • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement corporate security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization’s personnel, assets, and information. Align security initiatives with business objectives and risk management priorities. • Security Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of security operations, including physical security, access control, surveillance systems, and incident response protocols. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain a secure environment. • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposure and protect against security breaches. • Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices, policies, and procedures. Provide training and guidance on responding to security incidents and emergencies. Keep abreast of the latest in cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory changes. • Security Technology Management: Evaluate, select, and deploy security technologies and tools to enhance the organization’s security posture. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of access control systems, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies. • Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to corporate security, including data protection, privacy, and physical security requirements. Oversee coordination of SOC2 and PCI-DSS compliance efforts managing a GRC analyst through addressing any deficiencies. • Incident Response and Crisis Management: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate the impact of security incidents and restore normal operations. • Security Vendor Management: Manage relationships with security vendors, contractors, and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of security services and solutions. What you bring to the table: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field. • 5+ years of proven experience in Corporate Security leadership roles within SaaS organizations. • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to corporate security. • Extensive knowledge of SOC2 and PCI-DSS compliance, as well as experience overseeing compliance efforts. • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, including cybersecurity, physical security, access control, and surveillance. • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic security initiatives that align with business objectives and mitigate risk. • Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing security policies and procedures, and managing security incidents and crises. It would be great if you also had: • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CISSP, CISM) preferred.
