Grow. with KBR!  </span></b></p><p></p><p>Around here, we define the future.</p><p>But we at KBR share one goal: to improve the world responsibly as a company of innovators, thinkers, creators, explorers, volunteers, and dreamers.</p><p></p><p>KBR is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for the Science & Space Business Unit to support the program manager in providing leadership and management of the SWFO Antenna Network (SAN) maintenance/sustainment and enhancement study programs for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).</p><p></p><p></p><p>The SAN is part of the Space Weather Observations (SWO) Programs Division supporting the United States National Space Weather Strategy by implementing and sustaining operational observation platforms and capabilities providing observation and modeling improvements for increased capabilities. The program supports NOAA's goal of reducing the impact of severe space weather events, and it directly responds to the 2020 Promoting Research and Observations of Space Weather to Improve the Forecasting of Tomorrow (PROSWIFT) Act that directs NOAA and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to enter into agreements to develop space weather spacecraft and instruments.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The Space Weather Follow On (SWFO) Mission, launched in 2025, is currently supported by the SWFO Antenna Network (SAN) Element in the SWFO Ground Segment. The delivery of SAN services to the rest of the ground segment is carried out by the SAN Executive and the SAN Monitor and Control (M&C) systems, collectively referred to as SAN Management (SAN-M).</p><p></p><p></p><p>SAN Management requires modification to fully support the future space weather constellation at L1. The modification of SAN-M will result in the deployment of the Space Weather Antenna Network (SWAN) Management solution. SWAN Management will be the future Antenna Services management function to support SWFO and SOLAR A/B spacecraft with a global network of antennas that ensure all missions meet the required operational data availability. This task directs the contractor to conduct an architecture and design concept study to enhance the current SAN-M system to simultaneously support multiple-missions at L1 with separate Mission Operation Centers providing command and control.</p><p></p><p></p><p>In addition, this task also includes leading the maintenance and sustainment of the current deployed SAN-M and the associated SAN lab located at Columbia, Maryland. The operational SAN locations are at two CONUS antenna installations: Wallops Island, Virginia (Wallops) and Consolidated Backup Station (CBU) near Fairmont, West Virginia.
