Global shipping company has an exciting opportunity for a Customs Specialist. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must have experience processing customs entries to CBSA and worked on Cargowise software.

Employment Type: 3-month contract possibly longer.

Location: Mississauga, ON (Eglinton & Renforth) Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Track and trace
  • Onboard customers and vendors
  • Utilize strong phone etiquette to engage with customers professionally and courteously.
  • Analyze customer issues and provide effective solutions or escalate as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and resolve complex issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Customs processing experience with CBSA
  • Full Container Load (FCL) and Ocean Freight experience
  • Experience with B.I. Dashboards
  • Strong computer systems and MS Excel skills
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions based on customer needs.
  • Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • A positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
