Job Description

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Culinary Interns to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring culinary professionals to gain hands-on experience in both pastry and main kitchen operations while working alongside experienced chefs in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will contribute to the creation of exceptional dishes while developing your culinary skills and understanding of kitchen operations.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of pastry items, including breads, desserts, and plated presentations
  • Support main kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, executing recipes, and maintaining mise en place standards
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in accordance with local UAE regulations and international best practices
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery
  • Learn and apply proper knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating methods under chef supervision
  • Monitor inventory and assist with stock rotation and organization
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain equipment cleanliness
  • Receive feedback constructively and continuously improve culinary techniques and knowledge
  • Support special events, menu development, and kitchen projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree, diploma, or equivalent formal culinary training
  • Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Foundational knowledge of pastry and main kitchen techniques
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of basic food preparation methods
  • Excellent attention to detail in food preparation and plating
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Previous kitchen or culinary internship experience (preferred)
