SUMMARY:

To ensure goods and services are produced efficiently, cost effectively and quality, in-line with company standards and schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  • Adhere to Company’s Quality Management System Quality Brief and ensure products adhere to Quality Management standards (ISO9001, ISO14001 and Q1)
  • Responsible for production of Company products.
  • Reading, interoperating, and working to drawings supplied.
  • Ensure materials are available at machine, in correct type, quantities and specifications.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on machines, including lubrication, checking of levels and report back any issues.
  • Set and run CNC Machines.
  • Occasionally programming machines for modifications.
  • Loading of CNC programs
  • Prepare cutting tools
  • Deburr components.
  • Complete job record sheets.
  • Running and checking “1st off’s” and random batch inspection.
  • Ensure the programs/machine are running efficiently.
  • Required to have your own tools and ensure they are in good condition.

Other Functions:

  • Housekeeping (clean, efficient, and safe workplace).
  • Ensure working area within Workshop is kept clean and tidy.

Time Management

  • Ensure that work is completed within the hours and product targets/deadlines agreed with Manager.
  • All production must be carried out as per the schedule.
  • To clock in/out and fill in timecards correctly.

Communication

  • Create an environment of open communication.
  • Effectively communication facilities strategy and operational requirements to teams.
  • Communicate to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor, giving feedback on all aspects that would affect completion, quality or delivery of our product.
  • Inform the Team Leader or Supervisor if there are any issues preventing you completing your duties.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral.

Team Working

  • Continually build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Positively promote the best interests of Leidos Industrial Engineers at all times.

Cross Functional Working

  • Assist in inspections of products if required.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE are properly used.

    • Automation
    • Automotive manufacturing
    • Aerospace manufacturing
    • Mechanical/material handling
    • Pneumatics
    • Inspection 
    • On site install

  • Occasional requirement to work out of hours.

Pay Range:

£29,500.00-£34,700.00
