Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter / Furniture Installer to join our team for warehouse and field work in the NYC area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including furniture assembly, fixture installation, and various carpentry tasks. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with construction, woodworking, and installation processes, contributing to smooth operations both on-site and in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom wooden crates for furniture and artwork (export-ready)
  • Perform light to advanced carpentry modifications
  • Disassemble and reassemble high-end furniture
  • Install wall-mounted items (TVs, artwork, shelving, mirrors)
  • Perform on-site touch-ups and adjustments
  • Assist with white-glove furniture installations
  • Use power tools safely and professionally
  • Read measurements and work precisely

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carpentry, including trim carpentry, framing,
  • Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fabrication techniques
  • Proficiency with hand tools (saws, drills, hammers) and power tools (grinders, nail guns) used in construction and installation work
  • Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments with exposure to concrete forming, plastering, rebar installation or masonry is a plus
  • Knowledge of fixture installation such as cabinetry, doors hanging, flooring/layering/tile laying is preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is preferred for field assignments
