Job Title: CAD Draftsman
Department: CAD / Design
Reports To: CAD Team Leader / Project Engineer
Location: Al Warqa Survey Engineering, Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

As a CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed drawings, maps, and layouts based on survey data and project specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and technical proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software to support the engineering and survey teams in producing high-quality deliverables within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, survey maps, and site layouts using AutoCAD and other CAD software as per project requirements.
  • Draft topographic, as-built, and infrastructure drawings (roads, utilities, buildings, etc.) based on survey field data.
  • Interpret survey data, field notes, and sketches to create accurate and clear digital drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry practices.
  • Revise and update drawings as per client comments or design changes.
  • Maintain an organized system for drawing files and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate layout plans, profiles, and cross-sections for infrastructure and land development projects.
  • Prepare plot subdivision and consolidation drawings for land management projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
  • Freshers can apply, however, Minimum 2–4 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in a surveying or engineering firm will be a plus
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (latest versions); knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation, or GIS software will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles and ability to interpret field data.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Accuracy and quality of drawings.
  • Timely completion and submission of deliverables.
  • Compliance with company and client drafting standards.
  • Effective coordination with team members and departments.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with extensive coordination with field survey teams.
  • Standard working hours; however, we expect flexibility for urgent project deadlines.

Pay: From AED2,500.00 per month
