Product Line Manager III (SPD) (SSO Division - Location: Fort Worth, TX)

Position Summary

This is an internal Business Development position developing product line strategies that generate aftermarket business opportunities for the Stratoflex Division (SPD). Position to be based in Fort Worth, TX. This Product Line Manager position is revenue accountable for multiple programs with high earnings consisting of complex products and sub-systems across several commercial and military aircraft specifically focused on supporting the SPD portfolio. Focused on growth, this candidate will work across various SSO business teams and divisions to develop and launch profitable strategies promoting products, services, and technologies that fall within Parker's core competence that meet and exceed customer expectations. This position will also be instrumental in developing these sites' monthly sales outlooks and yearly annual plans.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for achieving aftermarket service center's financial goals in coordination with the assigned operating division, which includes one or more sites.
  • Acts as primary strategic Product Line focal point for aftermarket services covering a range of products, Services & customers. Initiates and works closely with division, site(s), and SSO Regional Segment teams to maximize long term aftermarket revenues providing short and long-term sales forecasts.
  • Collaborates with the division site(s) customer service Aftermarket Services Manager on strategy and execution requirements. Maybe required to provide back-up for the Aftermarket Service Manager. Addresses critical long term customer issues and lead project teams to improve short- & long-term process results.
  • Acts as primary strategic customer contact for aftermarket products and services including product repairs, spares, logistics, contract, and pricing negotiations. Coordinates with technical and segment teams with field performance issues for input on resolution. Works closely with SSO Division business development and CSO Segment Leader's to maximize aftermarket revenues ensuring alignment with short-and long-term sales forecasts.
  • Works closely with the Regional Segment teams to develop and support proposals and contracts designed to attract the customer and provide an acceptable level of return to the company by researching customer requirements and translating them into development opportunities. Develop strategies and solutions for contracts open for re- negotiation during the contract period.
  • Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems. Applies thorough understanding of the division's technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence future strategies.
  • Serves as a liaison and facilitator with customers and Regional/Group Marketing to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction regarding cost, product quality, delivery, and performance. Provides the customer and division with liaison support within and across divisions on existing and new programs. Stays in close contact with division technology, business units, and operations teams to enable rapid turnaround solutions.
  • Utilizes personal / professional established relationships and works through the Regional Segment teams to develop and maintain relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors' products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional associations, and attending industry trade shows.
  • Establishes goals and objectives to carry out programs or functions by coordinating efforts across the division and Aftermarket Service Managers. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making complex comparative analyses.
  • Develops and runs portfolio optimization exercises using analytics to ensure product and channel for product are adequately balanced to optimize revenue and earnings.
  • Responsible for the development and guidance of new retrofit business cases to gain division buy-in for resourcing the launch of new products and services.

Qualifications:

Education of bachelor's degree (BA) in Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education plus experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience, including five or more years of high-level program management and established customer contacts, with major revenue or scope of responsibility.

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
