About the Job CrucialPoint is seeking a Braze Retention Marketing Manager to support the technical execution and optimization of email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging programs for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who understands lifecycle marketing strategy but is equally comfortable building campaigns, setting up journeys, and working directly inside Braze to bring ideas to life. The right candidate has hands-on experience with Braze and a solid understanding of segmentation, automation, data flows, and personalization. You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be confident working in a technical environment, collaborating with strategists, and owning the build-out of sophisticated lifecycle programs. Responsibilities • Build, launch, and maintain customer lifecycle campaigns across Braze (email, SMS, in-app, and push). • Set up and optimize customer journeys, including segmentation, triggers, and personalization logic. • Support integration setup and data flow management between Braze and client CRMs, CDPs, or analytics platforms. • Work closely with strategists, designers, and copywriters to ensure campaigns are technically sound and aligned with client goals. • Oversee deliverability fundamentals, including domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), IP warming, and list hygiene. • Conduct QA on all campaigns and automate error checks when possible. • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights for optimization. • Stay informed on Braze updates, new features, and broader retention marketing trends. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working in Braze. • Minimum 3 years of experience in email, retention, or lifecycle marketing, preferably within an agency or fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated experience with Braze Canvas, advanced segmentation logic, and basic Liquid scripting. • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email editing; JavaScript familiarity is a plus but not required. • Understanding of data flows and APIs between marketing platforms and CRMs. • Experience with A/B testing, deliverability optimization, and analytical dashboard interpretation. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and creative teams. • Strong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with additional ESPs or marketing automation platforms (Klaviyo, SFMC, Eloqua, Iterable, etc.). • Moderate understanding of SQL for building and troubleshooting audience queries. • Experience supporting loyalty, subscription, or multi-channel lifecycle programs.
