Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Banquet Manager, where you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of exceptional banquet events. This energetic role requires a passionate leader dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences through meticulous management of food service operations, team supervision, and event execution. You will oversee all aspects of banquet functions, ensuring seamless service, adherence to safety standards, and efficient resource management to create memorable occasions for our guests.

Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise all banquet event operations, including setup, service, and breakdown, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Lead and train banquet staff on food handling, customer service, and safety protocols to maintain high standards of hospitality.
  • Manage inventory control for food, beverages, and supplies using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Oversee food preparation processes in line with quality standards, including catering and kitchen management for diverse events.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Develop staffing schedules, manage shift assignments, and supervise team performance to meet event demands efficiently.
  • Collaborate with clients to customize menus and event details while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hospitality standards.
  • Monitor budget adherence for banquet functions, including cost control measures related to food production and staffing.
  • Conduct staff training sessions focused on culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure all banquet activities align with hospitality management best practices while fostering a positive team environment.

Experience

  • Proven management experience in a fast-paced food service environment such as quick service restaurants or fine dining establishments.
  • Extensive supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles with a focus on food production and event coordination.
  • Strong background in food handling, culinary techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability in staff training & development, interviewing potential team members, and managing shift operations effectively.
  • Experience overseeing catering services or banquet functions in hotel or casual dining settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, budgeting principles, and food management practices essential for maintaining high-quality service delivery.
