We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Medical Writer to lead the tactical execution of publications stemming from our global medical affairs publication plans. These plans span across early phase development to marketed products. In this role, the Medical Writer will serve as a key partner in shaping the external scientific narrative, as well as ensuring data are communicated with clarity, accuracy, and impact through high-quality publications and congress materials. This is a single contributor, remote position. Essential Functions of the Job: • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic, high-impact scientific publications and congress materials in oncology • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external experts in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting • Expert knowledge of, and adherence to, GPP, ICMJE guidelines, and global compliance standards in medical publications • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple concurrent projects and regions • Adhere to industry-standard guidelines as well as BeOne SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal colleagues, external authors, journal editors, publishers, and other professional bodies Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS) in life sciences or related field; oncology specialization strongly preferred • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant medical writing experience, with a strong emphasis on global publication planning and congress communications, gained through working within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical sector or at a medical communications agency • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for scientific accuracy and editorial quality • Experience working globally, cross functionally, and cross culturally Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience writing publications in clinical oncology (hematology or solid tumor) and/or health economic and outcomes research in the oncology space • Familiarity with global regulatory and medical affairs environments (eg, US, EU, APAC) • Experience with publication agency oversight and publication steering committees • Active membership in ISMPP, AMWA, EMWA, or related organizations Computer Skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with publication planning and tracking tools (eg, Datavision, PubSTRAT, Excel-based trackers). Education Required: • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS) in life sciences or related field; oncology specialization strongly preferred Travel • Work-related travel approximately 5-10%. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
