Who Are You?

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate daily care to residents in our Assisted Living community. This position focuses on assisting residents with essential activities of daily living, ensuring they receive the highest level of care, dignity, and respect. As a CNA in Assisted Living, you will build meaningful relationships with residents, supporting their independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily activities, including dressing, eating, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor and document vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight) and report any concerns.
  • Provide mobility support, including assistance with transfers, positioning, and walking.
  • Assist with meal service, including feeding assistance when needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.
  • Follow infection control procedures and ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance the overall well-being of residents.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing staff promptly.

Qualifications:

  • License/Certification:
    • Must be a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) with a valid certification in the state of Kansas.
    • Valid CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and compassionate approach to resident care.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to the changing needs of residents in an assisted living setting.
