Position Overview

We are seeking a highly professional and reliable Standing Armed Security Officer to provide security services at an assigned site in San Jose , CA and surrounding areas. This position requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment while representing a polished security presence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide armed security services in accordance with post orders and company policies

  • Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter criminal activity

  • Monitor surroundings and identify suspicious behavior or security concerns

  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and the public

  • Complete detailed reports as required

  • Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures

  • Maintain control, awareness, and professionalism at all times

Professional Conduct Requirements

  • Must remain alert, attentive, and engaged while on duty

  • No use of personal phones or electronic devices while on post unless authorized

  • No eating, drinking, or chewing gum while on duty unless permitted by post orders

  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in all situations

Uniform & Appearance Standards

  • Must wear a police-style or tactical security uniform

  • Uniform must be clean, pressed, and professional at all times

  • Black tactical or dress pants (no holes or distressing)

  • Black duty boots or black leather shoes in good condition

  • Duty belt with approved equipment only

  • Grooming and hygiene must reflect a professional security image

Requirements

  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card

  • Valid California BSIS Firearms Permit (required)

  • Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while on duty

  • Prior armed security experience preferred

  • Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods

  • Strong communication and decision-making skills

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required

Additional Expectations

  • Must follow all state and company firearm safety protocols

  • Ability to de-escalate situations while maintaining officer safety

  • Must represent the company in a professional and respectful manner at all times
