Aircraft Equipment Mechanic - Ground Support Engineering Role Summary Qatar Airways is seeking a skilled Aircraft Equipment Mechanic to join our Ground Support Engineering (GSE) team in Doha, Qatar. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and Part 145 regulations. Job Location: Doha, Qatar Industry: Airlines/Aviation Function: Equipment Maintenance / Repair Salary: 7000-9000 monthly (Market estimated) Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Candidate Current Location: Any Job Type: Full-time Core Responsibilities * Carry out daily, monthly, and annual inspections and servicing of aircraft ground equipment as per maintenance schedules * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in GSE units * Escalate major repair issues to the Shift Leader and ensure timely reporting and documentation * Follow maintenance manuals and workshop procedures to perform accurate and compliant repairs * Assemble and install components using appropriate tools; ensure safety and serviceability of systems * Read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and wiring diagrams * Operate aircraft support tools and ensure all tasks are documented in line with CMM and TRAX ERP * Support Assistant Mechanics and provide hands-on guidance as needed * Monitor tools and equipment required for various jobs and control workshop operations * Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to technical standards and safety protocols Candidate Profile * High school diploma or aircraft maintenance vocational qualification; degree in aircraft engineering is an advantage * Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance or GSE systems * Experience with wide-body aircraft docking systems is preferred * Strong understanding of Part 145 maintenance procedures * Able to work independently and interpret complex technical documentation * Good communication skills in English; ability to write and complete technical reports * Familiarity with TRAX ERP for maintenance task logging and GSE inventory * Valid driving license is preferred Why Join Us At Qatar Airways, you'll be part of a high-performance engineering team ensuring safety and reliability across our growing fleet.
