UK Athletics is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its Finance team, supporting the day-to-day running of the purchase and sales ledger and providing high-quality financial support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase ledger invoices and staff expenses
  • Ensure accurate VAT treatment, coding and authorisation
  • Manage OCR invoice postings and match invoices to purchase orders
  • Maintain supplier records and reconcile supplier accounts
  • Handle finance-related queries from staff, suppliers and customers
  • Support sales ledger activity and assist with year-end data collection

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar finance or office-based role
  • Essential experience working with a purchase ledger
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of NetSuite and OCR systems is desirable
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
